Good afternoon everyone,
So sorry having this one in english but my written french is quite bad. No problem with understanding french. That being said now about the problem If someone could help please: it’s been some time now since some Internet sites using “Cloudflare” give me a “403 Forbidden” message when trying to access them. Sometimes the message is different, like “Request denied, unusual number of requests coming from your network”. That happens with Orange now but happened as well while VOO client (till July 2024 if I’m not wrong…). Using a Proxy VPN solves the problem. Any ideea on that one please?…
Thanks,
Mas-Oyama
No worries about writing in English! From what you describe, it looks like your IP address might be flagged by Cloudflare, possibly due to past unusual activity or because it belongs to a shared range with a bad reputation. This could explain why switching ISPs didn’t immediately resolve the issue.
A few things you can try:
1. Restart your router – This may assign you a new IP address if you’re on a dynamic IP.
2. Check your IP reputation – You can use sites like Project Honey Pot or Spamhaus to see if your IP has been flagged.
3. Contact Orange support – If the issue persists, they might be able to refresh your IP or investigate further.
4. Disable IPv6 – Some users have reported issues with IPv6 and Cloudflare. You can test by disabling it in your router settings.
5. Use a VPN or Proxy – As you’ve noticed, this bypasses the issue, but it’s more of a workaround than a fix.
Good luck!
Hello,
Long shot - If your modem uses a shared IP (CGN), switch to a public IP
Simply log on to the router 192.168.0.1 and take it from there (Network, advanced)
Outil de configuration connexion wifi | Orange Belgique
Success
Tried that one Gregory, didn’t work.
Thanks anyway 👍
