4G/5G Speed Drops Suddenly in the Evening on Android — Anyone Else Seeing This?

Hi everyone,
I’ve been experiencing sudden speed drops on my Orange mobile data connection during the evening hours (usually between 19:00 and 23:00). I normally get stable 4G or 5G speeds during the day, but at night the connection falls to the point where even a basic stream or video test from our internal streaming app tools starts buffering.

Here’s what I’ve noticed:

• Full signal bars, but very low throughput

• Happens on two different Android phones

• Tested with and without Wi-Fi calling enabled

• APN settings match the recommended Orange configuration

• Restarting the device doesn’t fix it

• Speed returns to normal the next morning

I’m wondering:

1. Is this kind of evening congestion normal in some areas, or is it a sign of a local network issue?

2. Could this be related to tower maintenance or temporary capacity limits?

3. Are there any recommended settings (APN, preferred network type, etc.) that might help stabilize speeds during peak hours?

If anyone else has seen similar slowdowns recently, I’d appreciate hearing your experience.
